Evelyn M. Gregg, 89 of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born June 27, 1936 to the late Everett and Matilda (Kiel) Staats. Evelyn worked in the banking industry in Canal Fulton for 30 years. She started her career at Exchange Bank and later retired from Apple Creek Bank. She loved her work family immensely.

Evelyn enjoyed watching the Cleveland Guardians and Browns. She also loved to cook and bake. Most importantly she was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Gregg; sister, Mildred Harrah; brothers, William, Edward, Melvin and Paul Staats. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Wagen, Debbie Gregg and Vicki Ripley (Mark Parcher); granddaughter, Lindsay (Nate) Rothman; great-grandson, Henry; brother, Richard Staats; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held TUESDAY, December 23, 2025, 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00pm. Burial at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
