Evelyn L. (Younkin) Coates, 83, long time resident of Canal Fulton passed away Jan. 10, 2023. She was born to the late William C. and Anna Younkin on Dec. 4, 1939 of Akron.  She attended Coventry High School. Evelyn's life interest and talents included reading, gardening, sewing, and crafting.  She was a dedicated mother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by her sister Marlyn (Younkin) Horton and her children, William (Bill) S. Coates, Cara A. Coates, Lisa M. Coates, and Frank L. Coates lll and numerous nieces and nephews and their children. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Dorothy A. Ternosky, Ronald W. Younkin Everett E. Younkin, Clarence A. Younkin, and Rebecca S. Sanders. A private memorial service was held for the family with burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
