Obituary

Fannie L. Reece, 101 passed from earth to heaven on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Doylestown Health Care Center. She was born July 26, 1914, to the late Sam and Bertha Myers in Brasstown, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul; two grandchildren, Michael and Stevie Clayton; three sisters, Willa Mae Boyes, Ruth Busch and Wendell James; and brother, Glenn Myers. Fannie is survived by her three daughters, Frances Clayton of Murphy, North Carolina, Anne Ledbetter and Helen (Larry) Pratt of Clinton, Ohio and one son, Jim (Angie) Reece of Massillon, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 25 great, great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Etta Bray of Dunbar, Michigan. Fannie was a long time member of the Akron Baptist Temple, teaching Sunday School for over 35 years. In later years, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rittman, Ohio. She was an avid quilter, making over 100 quilts, giving all to friends and family.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the workers at Doylestown Health Care Center for the compassionate care they gave to our Mother.

Funeral Service will be held on TUESDAY, Oct. 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the

Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with her grandsons, Rev. Mike Lamar and Gary Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY from 10:00 a.m until time of the service.
