Ferne D. Williams, 92 of Manchester passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Rose Lane Health Center. Ferne was born in Barberton and had been a life resident of the area. She was a member of the Manchester Christian Church, had been a volunteer at Barberton Hospital for 51 years and a volunteer with the Barberton Red Cross for 10 years. She enjoyed her hobbies including, AARP (Portage Lakes), traveling, shopping and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Williams and daughters, Linda and Joan. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (David) Gansel, Susan (Bud) Stafford, Nancy Johnson and Jan (John) Adams; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Olive Pitsch; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Garden Gate of Rose Lane Health Center, for their loving care given to their Mother. Memorial service SATURDAY 1:00 p.m. at the Manchester Christian Church, 930 West Nimisila Road, with a private burial at Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ferne's memory to Alzheimer's Research; Manchester Christian Church, 930 W.
