Frances M. Schlernitzauer, 82, passed away April 25, 2011 at Altercare of Nobles Pond in Canton. Born in Neffs, OH she had been an area resident most of her life where she retired from Akro. She was a former resident at the Alpeter building in Barberton for several years. Fran loved people. Her favorite thing to do was visit with her friends and family. She never met a stranger. During most of her stay at Nobles Pond you could find her placed by the front door drinking her coffee and greeting people as they came in. She was preceded in death by her Mom Anna (O'Grady) Norris and Dad Joseph Norris. She is survived by her children Tim Schlernitzauer of Canton, Nanette Schlernitzauer of Barberton, Paulette (Greg) Holland of Clinton and step-daughter Mona Anderson of Laconia, NH. Grandchildren Aimee, Chad (Debbi) and Jacob Schlernitzauer of Canton. Sisters Pauline Koshenka of Neffs and JoAnne Ramsay of Barberton, many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Altercare for their love, support and care of their mom over the past 3 years and Crossroads Hospice for their support in the end. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 10th, 1 P.M., at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Interment at Manchester Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday, May 9th, 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to service time on Tuesday. Deacon Steve Wyles officiating. We welcome any donations made to the American Cancer Society.
