George A. Lukinac, 85 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Born October 16, 1940 to the late George and Mary (Englehart) Lukinac, he was a 1959 graduate of Wadsworth High School where he excelled in football, baseball and track and was affectionately known as the “Galloping Ghost”. George also served in the Army National Guard. He met Patricia Miga in 1962 and they later married in 1964. George worked for Young’s Restaurant for 6 years, PPG for 19 years and retired from the City of Canal Fulton Water Department after 33 years of service.
George enjoyed being outdoors, whether fishing, hunting or gardening. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Jones. George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Lukinac; children, Brian (Penny) Lukinac, David Lukinac and Susie (Tim McCullough) Lukinac; sister, Lorraine (Ron) Hewit; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held TUESDAY, June 16, 2026, 2:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton with visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
