George E. Meurer Jr., 81, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026. Born March 15, 1945 to the late George Sr. and Dorothy Meurer, he was a proud US Army veteran and retired from DLH Industries with over 30 years of service.

George was an avid sports fan. He loved watching Sandy Valley football and the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed eating and loved his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Meurer. George is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Nicholas) Stolicny; son, Shane (Eric) Meurer; grandchildren, Kameron, Hunter and McKenna and brother, Timothy (Barb) Meurer.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Louisville Gardens for their kindness and care of George.

Per the family’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
