George C. Mizarek, Jr. 78 of Canal Fulton died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Port Charlotte, Florida. George was born in Cleveland to the late George C. and Lena Mizarek and had been a long time resident of the Canal Fulton/Jackson area. He was founder, owner and operator of Canal Fulton Provision, member of the Canal Fulton Rotary, Tri County Restaurant Association and member of the Canal Fulton and Massillon Chambers of Commerce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Mizarek; daughter, Sherri Hornsby and sister, Betty Rizzardi. He is survived by his children, Jeff (Wendy) Mizarek, Mike (Kathleen) Mizarek, Debbie (Rodney) Beardsley. Grandchildren, Corey, Erin, Alexander, Matthew and Madison. Step-grandchildren, Bruce and Brittany and great grandchildren; Sister, Rose (Stan) Lavigne), companion, Polly Garnes nieces and nephews. George was a loving father, husband, grandpa, great grandpa, friend and will be greatly missed by all. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY, 10 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High Street N. Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant.
