Georgia Jean (Howell) Dale passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, just five days shy of her 97th birthday. Born July 20, 1928 in Massillon, Ohio, Georgia lived a long and love-filled life centered around family, faith, service, and simple joys.

Georgia devoted much of her professional life to caring for others as a nurse at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, Ohio. Her compassion extended far beyond her career into her home, her friendships, and her community.

She was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Dale, with whom she shared 51 beautiful years of marriage after marrying on December 30, 1946. Together they shared a deep love of ballroom dancing and gardening and built a life full of warmth, laughter, and devotion to their growing family.

Georgia is survived by her children: Ronald Dale, Jacquline (Donald) Douglas, John (Dawn Dodson) Dale, and Joe Hoffman; her sisters: Lenore (Tom) Janata and Sandra (Charles) Evans; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren (with two more expected in August); and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her daughter, Kristine Hoffman; daughter-in-law, Margaret Dale; and her sisters, Shirley Scofield, Carol Simmons, and Joyce Bleigh.

Georgia had a passion for gardening and was known for always having the most beautiful flowers. She loved decorating cakes, sewing dresses and costumes for her family, reading voraciously, and cheering on her grandchildren at every event she could attend. She was deeply involved in the local PTA and helped establish it as one of its original leaders. She especially enjoyed taking trips with her sisters, working backstage at dance recitals, leading as a Cub Scout den mother, and going on annual getaways to Pennsylvania with her cherished work friends. Georgia brought warmth, creativity, and quiet strength to all she did.

A service to honor her life will be held THURSDAY, July 24, 2025, 11:00am at Canal Fulton Methodist Church, 363 Cherry St. W. Canal Fulton. Visitation Thursday 9am to 11am prior to the service at the church. Burial to follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering a woman whose grace, generosity, and joy will never be forgotten.
