Gerald Lee Gaydash Jr. "Jerry", age 52, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Jerry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shannon (Dean); children, Sara and Jerry III; grandsons, Jerry IV and Sylas; parents, Jerry and Joan (Amendolar), siblings, Justine (Carl Lakatos), Jean (Jim Markham), and Joel; grandmother, Stella (Raschel); many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Born in Akron on April 1, 1962, Jerry excelled on the football field at St Vincent-St Mary High School where he received the Wentz Award (1980) and was inducted into the Hall of Fame (2006). He attended Eastern Michigan University where he received the James M. "Bingo" Brown award for outstanding offensive player (1984) and where he met his wife. While working at Gaydash Industries Inc. (1987-present) he settled his family in Canal Fulton and raised the children he was so proud of. His favorite place was in the woods, hunting. He was a good husband, good father, good grandfather, good son, good friend. Per his request, no services will be held.
