Geraldine L. Nitz, 81, of Canal Fulton passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Gerry was born November 16, 1943 in Clinton, Ohio to the late Robert and Lena (Warner) Gallagher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Pat Freed, second husband, Donald Nitz, and sisters Shirley Siegenthaler and Joan Sullivan. She is survived by sons Scott (Rose) Freed, Ken (Melinda) Nitz, Mark Nitz, Doug (Rachel) Nitz, and Steve (Amy) Nitz, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Patches.

Gerry was a dedicated wife and mother, always ensuring a warm and welcoming home for her family. She looked forward to spending Saturdays with the great-grandchildren.

Gerry had a passion for bingo and was often found at St Mary's of Massillon or the North Lawrence hall, enjoying games with fellow players. Friends set a vigil in her honor at her regular seat on the night of her passing.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 30, 2025, 11:00 AM at Clinton Cemetery, S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Clinton. Please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry's memory to The North Lawrence Fire Department.
