Germaine K. Shondel, 89 of Clinton died Friday, May 4, 2012. She was a life resident of the area, a graduate of Canal Fulton High School. She married James Shondel on April 18, 1942, She was a life member of SS Philip & James Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James E. Shondel in 1999; parents, Ralph and Mary Klein and sister, Betty Bickett. Germaine is survived by her children, James E. (Barbara) Shondel, Jr., Bev (Randall) Ross, Patricia (William) Chevrier, Christine (Ranko) Milosevic and Thomas J. (Robyn) Shondel. Twelve Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, Sister, Beverly Begert, numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Mass of the Christian Burial MONDAY, 10:30 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High St. North, Canal Fulton with Fr. Thomas Acker, S.J. officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call SUNDAY, 2-5 pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton).
