Gertrude E. Petrick, 89 of New Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. Born on March 2, 1925 in Roanoke, VA to the late Albert and Effie (Thomason) Phillips she had been an Akron/Manchester resident all of her life and retired from B.F. Goodrich. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Akron.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Joseph Petrick Jr; brothers Albert, Howard and Warren Phillips; sister Virginia Scarbrough. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Dorcas Phillips and beloved pet Kitty.

Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, October 15, 2014, 11am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours TUESDAY, 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
