Gilbert "Gib" E. Howard, 86, a lifelong resident of Canal Fulton, Ohio, a U.S. Airforce veteran and member of Roofers Local 88, passed away comfortably at his home on Feb. 5, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1937 in Akron, Ohio. Gib was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Ora Howard; sister, Delores Hackathorn and son, Michael Howard. He is survived by his loving wife Joan and sons, David (Tammy), Mark (Jolene), John (Michele); grandchildren, David, Danny, Stephanie, Jennifer, John, Jessica, Jason, Ashlee, Jason, Dakota; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley Howard; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice of Uniontown, OH. A Funeral Service will be held TUESDAY, February 13, 2024, 12:00pm (Noon) at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home. 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
