Gladding "Punk" Miller, 88 of Manchester went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  Punk was born February 15, 1931 in Akron to the late Burt and Ethelyn (Gladding) Miller and had been a lifetime resident of the area.  He was a 1949 graduate of Manchester High School, served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and was a longtime supervisor in the trucking industry, working with Duff and Roadway Co. He was a longtime member of Valley Community Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Bob Miller and is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Miller; children, Kathy (David) Witwer, Ron (Peggy) Miller and Lloyd (Jennifer) Miller; eight grandchildren, Teri (Mark), Danielle, Derrick (Rebekah), Josh, Chris, Ashley, Nate and Sarah and nine great grandchildren.  Funeral service will be 11 a.m., FRIDAY, August 30, 2019 at the VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 5700 Taylor Road, Doylestown, Ohio 44230 with Pastor Mark Archer, officiating.  Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.  Friends may call AT THE CHURCH, Thursday 5 - 7 p.m. and Friday 10a.m until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Valley Community Church, PO Box 1213, Norton, OH 44203.
