CANAL FULTON---Harriet "Arlene" Meyer, 85, passed away March 7, 2011 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born in Akron where she had been a resident most of her life before retiring to Freeport, OH. Harriet loved gardening flowers and was awarded a Master Gardener Certificate by former Governor Voinovich, she also enjoyed antiquing. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Emil "Doc" Meyer; parents James and Inez Tillett; children Vern and Viki; sisters Marjorie and Elna and brother Kermit; Survivors include daughters Renee (Jim) Overholt, Michelle Meyer and Lori (Tom) Stanley; son Vaughn (Nancy) Meyer; grandchildren Teresa, Jennifer, J.J., Bobby, Hope, Shawn, Jackie, Chris, Dan and Emily and many great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011, 2 P.M. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton, Rev. Sandra Hutchinson officiating. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Summa Hospice or Alzheimer Association.
