Harry S, Wright, 87, passed away on July 9, 2011 at the Chapel Hill Community where he had been a resident for
the past 1 A½ years. He was born in Wyandott, Michigan on January 1, 1924 to Arabella Stoddard and
Newton Bateman Wright. He served as a
technical representative through a contract with Chrysler in the China Burma India Theatre (CBI) during WWII. Harry
married his wife Eve in 1946 and they raised five children. After
a successful career in industrial management, he retired to Canal Fulton to be closer to his
children. He served for a short time on the Canal Fulton City
Council. Harry was preceded in death by his dear wife of 50 years Eve, and
his son James. He is survived by his daughters Karen (Gordon)
Stanfield, Stephanie (John) Bailey, Judith (Cliff) Johnson and Mary Wright;
grandchildren Jonathan and Matthew Stanfield, John Bailey, Donald, Jeffrey,
Clayton and Clinton Stewart, and Cliff and Andrea Johnson; great-grandchildren
Charley and Jacob Stewart; and sister Mary A. Davis. He loved his church and his family and will be missed by the many
people whose lives he touched.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday,
July 15, 2011 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 5451 S. Cleveland-Massillion
Rd., Norton. Rev. John D. Mashek officiating.
Interment at Canal Fulton Union Cemetery. Calling hours
will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the service time at the church.
All friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon at the church
