Helen Hipp

Helen Hipp, 89 of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on November 12, 1936 to John and Marie Fabian. Helen lived in Akron most of her life, then moved to Barberton and finally resided in Canal Fulton at Chapel Hill Community.

She was loved by many people, family and friends. Helen loved to play bingo, cook and was a great baker. She was a homemaker for many years and then worked for Command Plastics for many years in the medical department and when she retired she worked parttime for Dollar General.

She was a great mother, grandmother and a beautiful person who could always make you laugh.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, William N. Dane Sr.; mother, Marie Di Nicola; father, John Fabian Sr.; stepfather, Julius Di Nicola; brothers, John Fabian Jr and Louie Fabian; sisters, Wilma Zimmerman and Betty Burch and beloved son, Robert L. Wynes Jr.

Helen leaves behind husband, James Hipp Sr.; sister, Marie Constatine Banic; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Thornburg; son, William N. (Coletta) Dane Jr.; daughter, Cheryl (Don) Young; stepson, Jimmy Hipp; grandchildren, Jamie Burton, Lindsay Bais, Christopher (Britany) Thornburg, Megan (Blake) Burgy, Andrew Dane, Jason, (Kristy) Jordan, Patrick (Kristen) Magyar and Alyssa Young; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held MONDAY, April 6, 2026, 12:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home. Burial at Lakewood Cemetery, Akron.
