Helen M. Koppes, 102 of North Lawrence, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was born June 22, 1919 in Doylestown to the late John and Mary (Cramer) Paul and had been a North Lawrence resident most of her life. Helen was a devote catholic and was a member of the former St. George Catholic Church in Clinton and current member of SS Philip and James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and bowling, which she did well into her 90's. Helen was a devoted house wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Russell Koppes; son, Dorn Koppes; daughter, Jane White; sister, Ruth Paul Getz and brother, Austin Paul. Helen is survived by her children, John Koppes, James Koppes, Karen (Tom) Smith and Judy Koppes; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY, October 5, 2021, 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Fr. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial at Clinton Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd, Wooster, OH 44691.
