Helen Louise (Carr) Skidmore, 80 of Canal Fulton died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Chapel Hill Community, where she was a resident for the past two years. She was born October 1, 1937 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Roscoe Franklin and Virginia Jo (Johnson) Carr. A retired school teacher with the Norton City Schools, she was an active member of Forty Corners Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ronald L. Skidmore; companion, William "Duff" Duffield and brother, Richard Carr. Helen is survived by her children, David (Ethel Kempton) Skidmore, Derry Skidmore and Elizabeth Jo Skidmore; grandchildren, Isaiah, Carly, Amelia and Nick; aunt, Mary Purkey and sister, Sue Eckman.

Funeral Service MONDAY 7:00 pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East, (Rt. 93,) Canal Fulton with Rev. Scott Haynes officiating. Friends may call MONDAY from 5:00pm til time of service . Burial Tuesday, 10:00am at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
