James G. Cutting, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the age of 88. Born in Akron to the late Luther and Clara (Wolf) Cutting. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber at the age of 55, having worked in the spreader room, Dept. 137. He was the founder of Lightning TV in 1949 and started the Beauty Nook Beauty Salon in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a Cpl. in the Military Police 772 MP Battalion. Jim's favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle, fishing, traveling, restoring old cars and he had built two Ultra lights airplanes. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sherri (Wadsworth) Cutting: ex-wife, Leota Cutting; son, James G. Cutting, Jr.; brothers, Billy and Gerald and friend Irene Walthower. He is survived by his son, David (Rhonda) and daughter, Carolyn (Barry). Grandkids, Jim Gooding, Leann Gooding, Greg (Carrie) Cutting; 5 great grandkids; brother, Paul ; sisters, Virginia Ward, Geardine (Al) Shaffer, Mildred (Jim) Crisp, Mary (Ronnie) Rosier, Marva Cutting; friend Theresa Jaber and especially his little buddy Sandman his cat.
