James Eugene Harriman, age 74, passed away Monday March 3, 2014. He is survived by his beloved companion Patricia Golay, daughters April Harriman, Laura (Jay) Ferschweiler, Pamela Lindsay, Lynda (Harold) Stephens, stepson Chris (Bobbi) Davis, Siblings Judy (Elmer) Stidom, Pat (Wayne) Kroah, Richard (Judy) Schwochow, Patsy's daughters Anita Graber, Shari (Bill) Busby, Julie (King) Ott and Connie (Glenn) Kitzmiller, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Eugene Harriman, mother Edna Marie Schwochow and son Richard Harriman. Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Southwest Carpenter's Union after 35 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved golfing, motor sports, and campfires with friends. Jim was a loyal friend and was loved by all who knew him. The family would like to send special thanks to his team at Chapel Hill Retirement Center for the excellent care, cooperation and compassion they showed during his recent stay. Family and friends may call, SUNDAY, March 9, 2014, 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt 93, Canal Fulton) with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00pm. Inurnment, MONDAY, March 10, 2014, 10:30am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery entrance.
