Obituary

James (Jim) W. Johnson, 83, of Clinton Ohio passed away at his home Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born May 30, 1940 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late James A. Johnson and Kathryn (Pohner) Johnson.  Jim was an animal lover who enjoyed the outdoors, history, archaeology, and fishing.  He was also a 55 year Mason and a member of Coventry-Akron Lodge #83. Jim attended Kent State University and retired from Roadway Express as a computer analyst.  Jim was a storyteller who made friends with everyone he met. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife Emma Johnson of 60 years and his sister Judy Nielsen. Jim is survived by his loyal dogs Missy, Sweetie, Graham and Dozer.  His daughter Kathy(Johnson) and husband Michael Zeiler, son Will Johnson, his brother Don Johnson and Aunt Orelia Johnson. Grandchildren Samantha, Jake (Alexi), Brooklyn, and Emily Johnson. Great  Grandchildren Kyrie Stone, Braxton Johnson, Isla Stone, Oaklynn Johnson, and Sutton Stone. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Summit County Humane Society in his honor. Funeral Services will be MONDAY, March 18, 2024, 12:30 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E (Rt.93) Canal Fulton. Visitation Monday, 11:30-12:30pm prior to the service. Burial at Clinton Cemetery.
