James Koppes, 74 of Dalton, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was born February 24, 1951 to the late Russell and Helen Koppes. Jim graduated from Tuslaw High School and worked for many years at International Paper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Karen and Jane and brother, Dorn. Jim is survived by his brother John Koppes; sister, Judy Koppes; brother-in-law, Tom Smith; nieces, Hannah (Niko) Dimos, and Amanda Smith; great nieces, Claire and Cecelia Dimos.

Per the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
