Janet Haynes, 87, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was born November 21, 1938 to the late Lester Ott and Naomi Weller Kuntz and attended Jackson High School. Janet worked at the Super Center in Massillon and then was deli manager at Apples in Canal Fulton. She loved being outdoors hiking, walking or working in her garden. Janet also loved going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Haynes; daughter, Kelly Richardson and sons-in-law, Joe Richardons and Eric Peters. Janet is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Mark) Farnsworth and Debbie Peters; grandchildren, Ashley (Cody) Cole, Derek Farnsworth (Fiancé Kiley Colby), Andrew (Allie) Peters and Christina Ullum; great-grandchildren, Spencer McKinnon and Wyatt Cole; brother, Stephen Ott; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held WEDNESDAY, September 16, 2026, 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Massillon. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
