Jean R. Bittner, 77, passed away October 24, 2012 in Barberton. Born in Alto, Tennessee she had been an area resident for over 60 years. Jean was the glue that held the family together as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was never too tired to get the whole family together. Preceded in death by her brothers Wayne and Morris Patton; Survivors include her husband Jack; children Teresa ( the late Dave) Murphy, John (Jennifer) Bittner, Elaine (Randy) Weitzel and David (Lori) Bittner; grandchildren David, Alisha, Johnny, Andrew, Isaac, Rachel, Michael and Gretchen; great-grandchildren Alissa, Valerie, Trent and Ava; siblings Don, John, Vera and Sue. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. Calling Hours will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012, 12pm to 3pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton.
