Joseph B. Charlton, age 90; passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was born to the late Joseph E. and Grace Charlton on August 4, 1934. Joe grew up in Cleveland. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Following two years of service in the U.S. Army, Joe embarked upon a 35 year career with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Joe was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Wilma, and Sister Rita McFarland. Joe is survived by his children Sybil Morgan (Rich), and Kirk Charlton (Cathy), Nephew Steve McFarland, Niece Laura Palmer, Grandchildren Keira and Chloe Charlton, Stephanie Gless (Thom), and Joseph Morgan, Great-Grandchildren Savannah, Devin, and Landyn. A private family interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A celebration of Joseph's life will be announced at a later date. Joseph's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center and to Joyce Roper of WellBe Senior Medical. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Joseph's name to the Humane Society of Stark County.
