Karen Lee Ogg's Obituary

Karen Lee Ogg, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully passed away April 2nd, 2026 at the age of 84.

Karen was born on November 2nd, 1941 and was the eldest daughter of Paul “Ike” and Helen (nee Schroeder) Ellis. She was born and raised in Canal Fulton and was so very proud of her town.

Karen was an icon. A legend in her own right.

In her younger years, she loved speech and debate and knew how to light up a dance floor. She was quick-witted, sharp, and never missed a beat. She went to beauty school and spent time cutting hair and building connections-talking, laughing, and making people feel known.

At her core, Karen was devoted to her family. A selfless mother and a steady presence not only for her own children, but for many others who found a place in her home. She showed her love through the simple things in life: taking care of her home, cooking meals, raising kids, and cheering at every game and dance recital. She loved to spend time at the lake with her family. She loved to read, watch birds, and listen to Elvis and other classics.

Karen’s greatest joy was the people she loved. She will be remembered for her strength, her humor, and the way she made people feel at home-and she will be deeply missed in all the spaces she once filled so effortlessly.

Karen leaves behind her children: Jeff (Beth) Ogg, Stephanie (Mark) Fox and Matt (Laura) Ogg; grandchildren: Lindsay (Kevin) Stacy, Victoria Fox, Nate (Chelsy) Ogg, Natalie (Jimmy) McNamara , Nicole (Anthony) Salupo, Molly Ogg and Samantha Ogg, Emily (Colton) Costanzo and Tyler Badock: great-grandchildren: Ryder, Max, Trevor, Ezekiel, Finley, Marlowe, Jack, Foster, Delilah, Avery, Archie, Casen, and Edith: two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Steve in 2017; her parents; two brothers; one sister; two brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law and a great nephew.

Private services will be held for the family with burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's name are requested to S.A.L.T. Box Ministries, 408 W. Market St., Canal Fulton, OH 44614.
