Kelly G. Silvey, 38 of Freeburg, Illinois, formerly of Canal Fulton, Ohio, born March 26, 1973, in Akron, Ohio, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Kelly was an electrician for the Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo, Illinois, attended St. Matthew's Methodist Church, Belleville, Illinois and was a member of Abate of Illinois, a group dedicated to safe motorcycling and safe riding conditions. Kelly loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was an US Army veteran. Kelly is survived by his parents, David W. and Linda L., (nee Taylor) Silvey of Canal Fulton; his sister, Stacy (Rich) Smaglinski; nephew, Curtis Litten and uncle Bud Taylor, All of Canal Fulton; aunt, Vickie (Ken) Hinkle of Florida and the love of his life, Angie Bartels of Belleville, Illinois. Friends may call THURSDAY, 6-8 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry Street, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). A Private Graveside Service will be held Friday at Clinton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
