Kenneth Eugene Barnes was born November 11, 1937 in Salem, OH, and passed away on October 7, 2025 in Massillon, OH. He is survived by an older sister, Martha June Barnes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Louise Barnes and parents, Emery W. and Mary Barnes.

Ken was a beloved father to Brenda Hoskinson (Jim), Lynn Adams, Todd Barnes (Colleen), Janice Gutchess and Stephanie Friesen (Steve). Loving stepfather to James Osler (Karen) and Cathy Howe. Gramps and Grammy have an extended family of 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A graduate of Youngstown State University with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering and Lehigh University with a MS in Metallurgical Engineering; Ken was a retiree of Timken Research after 32 years.

Ken delighted in his family, travel, golf, bowling and card games. He will forever be remembered spending time as a loving husband, father and grandfather and steadfast follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, modeling this to family, friends and coworkers. He was known for his kindness, generous heart, sense of humor and high character.

Calling hours will be held SATURDAY, October 11, 2025, 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am at Orchard Hill Church, 2545 W. Comet Rd., Clinton, OH 44216. Associate Pastor Christie Timmons officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to Orchard Hill Church.
