Kenneth B. Rayl, 85 of Green, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. Born on January 31, 1929 in Akron to the late Earl D. and Alice (Wurtz) Rayl, he had been a resident of Green all of his life and retired from Local 219 Plumber and Pipe Fitters after 37 years of service. Kenneth was a member of Riverside Alliance Church, he enjoyed fishing, traveling and especially his volunteer work with the Child Evangelism Fellowship and Wycliffe Association whether volunteering overseas or within the United States. Kenneth was a proud Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Earl E. Rayl and sister Hilda Mae Lee; he is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Theda (Kiener) Rayl; son Daniel (Alene) Rayl; daughter LuAnn (Eric) Ucker; grandchildren Joshua (Amanda) Rayl, Nathan (Kelci) Rayl, Philip (Hayley) Rayl, Joel (Amy-Kaye) Rayl, Peter Rayl, Andrew (Courtney) Ucker and Emily (Michael) Bertschinger; eight great-grandchildren; brothers John Rayl, Jim Rayl and Bert Rayl. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014, 11am at the Riverside Alliance Church, 2433 S. Main St, Akron, Dr. Nevin Wiest officiating. Burial with Military Honors at Greensburg Cemetery. Calling Hours Saturday 9 to 11am at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 310 Orchard Avenue. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
