Kenneth E. Vinez, 66 of Canal Fulton, passed away May 27, 2022. He was born July 8, 1955 to the late Louis Vinez and Norma Jean Corney and had been a Doylestown/Canal Fulton area resident most of his life. Ken began his career as a police officer in 1986 with the Canal Fulton Police Department and transferred in 1987 to the Lawrence Township Police Department where he retired December 28, 2013. He was a former member of the Canal Fulton Baptist Church. Ken had a passion for sky diving and riding his motorcycles and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers. Ken was known for fixing just about anything and was affectionately known as "Fix It Man". If there was one thing anyone could say about Ken, it would be that he was an honest man. The most important things to Ken were his faith, his grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-father, Jim Corney and brother, Gary Vinez. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Vinez; sons, Chris Vinez and Gene (Angie) Vinez; former wife, Juanita Hughes; step-children, Meghan (Jason) McGoun, Ashleigh (Tony) McGoun and Colin (Carli) McGoun; 11 grandchildren; step-mother Phyllis Vinez; siblings, Tom (Dixie) Vinez, Deb (Brian) Nelson, Keith Vinez, Greg (Nancy) Vinez, Steve (Joey) Vinez and Lori Vaughn; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held SUNDAY, July 17, 2022, 12pm to 2pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. All are welcome to come back to Ken and Jackie's home, 8741 Manchester Av NW (Rt. 93), Canal Fulton, for a Celebration of Ken's life. To put it in Ken's words "The light is on".
