Larry J. White, 78 of Canal Fulton, Ohio passed away on October 21, 2025 at Summa Barberton Hospital following a period of declining health. He was born on July 8, 1947 in Akron to the late Joseph and Bernadine White.

Larry retired in 2000 after serving on the Akron Police Department for 31 years. He will be remembered for his integrity and dry sense of humor. His legacy will continue through his family and many lives he touched throughout his years of service.

Outside of his career, Larry was an outdoors man where he spent many weekends and summers at the homestead farm in West Virginia. At home he loved to plant and nourish his vegetable garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon (Lloyd) Filler. He is survived by his wife, Mary White; his children, Andy White, Brian (Jen) White, and Melissa (Doug) Eisenbrandt, six grandsons and two granddaughters.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Summa Barberton Hospital for the care Larry received.
