Linda Schwendiman, nAC.e Marr, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends March 1st, 2016. Linda was born on March 6th, 1949 in Akron and was a graduate of Kenmore High School. She was a loving wife and mother who will be known for being a loyal care-giver to all those around her. She enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes; playing black-jack at Seneca Niagara Casino; and her cats. She is survived by her husband of 44-years Donald E. Schwendiman; daughter Kelly (Tim) Morber and their children Kayla, Hannah, Daniel and Lillian; step-daughter Kelly R. Bessette and her children Michael, Karinne, and Sarah, and great-granddaughter Aurianna; sister Diane (Frank) Manning of Lorton, Va; brother Francis "Scrap" (Cathy) Marr of Akron, Oh; life-long friend Cynthia Meyer of Canal Fulton, Oh; nieces and nephews Cheri Manning; Frank (Maria) Manning; Catherine (David) Swinson; John Marr; Danny Marr; and grand-nephews Frankie, Dominic, Dean, and Anthony Manning; Jacob and Joseph Marr, and Kyle Marr; grand-niece Vivienne Swinson; and many cousins and friends. Linda will forever be remembered for her love of family and her sense of humor. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and grand-nieces and nephews, and they seemed drawn to her. She also loved her cats and each one seemed to be loyal to her and to her alone. She enjoyed vacationing at Florida beaches and Atlantic City casinos (later Seneca Niagara). She will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Mary Marr of Akron, Oh. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00am at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, 532 High Street NE, Canal Fulton, Oh 44614, Fr Kevin McCaffrey presiding. Friends may call on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4-7pm at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home 632 Cherry Street E, Canal Fulton, Oh. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
