Loren K. Rex, 78, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. Born on September 28, 1938 in Greentown, OH to the late Lloyd and Pearl (Everhard) Rex, Loren had been a Canal Fulton resident for 43 years and retired from the Akron Beacon Journal after many years of service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Rex; wife Wanettia Rex; sisters, Geraldine Wolfe, Marge Croft and brother Glenn Rex. Loren is survived by his children, Mitchel (Teresa) Rex and Rae Ann (Greg) Hoffman; grandchildren, Bill (Andrea) Holshoy, Shawna DeStefano, Anja, Elena and David Rex; great-grandchildren, Anthony and William DeStefano, Reta Stayrook; brother, Duane (Donna) Rex and sister-in-law Sandy Rex.

Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, October 5, 2016, 11am, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Pastor Joe Grimaldi officiating. Burial at Clinton Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday, 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
