Lorie Jan Ferrell, 45 of Canal Fulton died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness. Born January 26, 1966, in Zanesville, Mrs Ferrell was a 1984 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a 1985 graduate of Ohio State Barber College and a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Ferrell, Jr., whom she married December 6, 1986; her two children, Mackenzie Charles Ferrell and Janelle Elizabeth Ferrell, both of the home; her parents, Mary Jane Nelson and Carl Huston of Dresden and Jack and Barb Nelson of Iberia; half brother, Mark of Kodiak, Alaska; brothers-in-law, Dale (Judy) Ferrell and David (Sheri) Ferrell; father-in-law, Charles R. Ferrell, all of Dresden; uncles, T. Alyn of California and Bill of Dresden; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service will be held FRIDAY 11 a.m. at the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, 363 West Market Street, Canal Fulton with Rev. Kathryn Moody-Arndt and Rev. John McLachlan officiating. Burial in the Canal Fulton Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided at the church following the services. Friends may call THURSDAY 5-8 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church and/or Aultman Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
