Lorna Jean Phares, 84, passed away April 17, 2013 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born in Davis, WV she had been an area resident most of her life. Lorna worked for Lincoln National Life Insurance. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lady of the Elms and Pi Phi sorority. Preceded in death by her parents Elgie and Sarah Gibson and sister Deloris (Gibson) Buxton; she is survived by loving husband of 63 years James; son Michael (Denise); sisters Collene (Gibson) (Jones) Griffin and Lois (Gibson) Hamm; sister-in-law Carol Phares; 7 nieces and one nephew. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, 1pm, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton, Pastor Derek Starr Redwine officiating. Interment at Jerusalem Cemetery, Malaga, OH. Calling Hours Friday 2-4pm and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to service time on Saturday.
