Lucy Elizabeth (Thompson) Finley died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the age of 98.

Lucy was born in Glouster, Ohio to Sarah Esther "Hettie" (Shaner) Thompson and Frederick Palmer Thompson on April 28, 1917. She had 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Lucy lived in Glouster until she moved to Akron, Ohio where she worked at B.F. Goodrich. She met Paul Daniel Finley and married him and his two daughters on October 15, 1955.

The family moved to California, where Lucy and Paul's daughter Karen was born. Lucy and Paul were to live in many different states including Ohio, California, Indiana, Virginia, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Lucy enjoyed, cooking, sewing, Antique collecting-especially dolls, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Paul, daughter Roberta, son-in-law Allen, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Greg) Kern and Paula Blacker, and by her 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry Street E, Canal Fulton, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) Ohio on MONDAY , September 28, 2015. Family and friends may call from 10:30 am until time of the service at 12 Noon. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Lucy's name.
