Manford "Bud" Neil passed away April 26, 2011 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born in Poe, WV Bud had been a North Lawrence area resident most of his life where he owned Spuds Bar, worked for Superior Meats for 22 years as a ham boner and was also a volunteer fireman. Bud enjoyed bowling, coaching Tuslaw baseball and softball, family camping trips, trips to Canada, mowing the grass, Keno, the Cleveland Indians, all of the numerous friends he met at the bar and his beloved dog "Champ". Preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Lucille Neil and brothers Kenneth and Lacy; survivors include his loving wife of 35 years Evelyn; children Fred Neil, Lisa (Scott) Eggenschwiler, Manford (Karen) Neil, Kim Jenkins, Karen Bing, Cindy (Joe) Madzia and Kenny Neil; grandchildren Brad, Adam, Seth, Preston, Alivia, Baylie, Blayk, Lacy, Robert, Hollie, Michael, Samantha, Kelsey, Nathan and Logan; sisters Edith Keenan and Ida Hypes and brother Jim Neil. Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 30, 2011, 1 P.M., at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Dave Dahlstein officiating. Burial at Newmans Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Tuslaw Community Group, P.O. Box 68, N. Lawrence, OH 44666.
