Margaret M. "Marge" McCartney (nee Broderick), 97 died peacefully at home,Thursday, November 5, 2015. Marge was born January 22, 1918 in Chicago, Ill. to the late John and Margaret Mary (Gately) Broderick. and had lived most of her life in Beverly Hills, Michigan. A homemaker and high school graduate, she was a loving and caring spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose passions included reading, bridge, walking and gardening. In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Robert David "Bob" McCartney; her brothers, Jack, Jim, Bob, Richard and Bill Broderick and sister, Eileen Cooley. She is survived by her children, Ann (John) McGrath, Margaret McCartney, Robert (Kate) McCartney and John (Kaye) McCartney; grandchildren, Christine (Jeff) Pall, Kathleen Hancock, Xantha McCartney, Jason McCartney, Zachary McCartney and Aaron McCartney; nine great grandchildren, Cheyanne and Kaitlyn Pall, Ethan, Ryan and Luke Hancock, Coletrane, Sullivan, Laila and Judah McCartney. Mass of the Christian Burial TUESDAY, 10:00 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High Street North, Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant. Friends may call MONDAY 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Burial Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to SS Philip & James Church.
