Margaret K. Nasvadi (Kreakbaum) "Maggie", 68, died peacefully at her home in Canton on January 19, 2015. Born on August 21, 1946 in Akron to the late John and Theresa Kreakbaum, she was a graduate of Buchtel High School and a long time member of Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Maggie was a long time manager of Peppe & Luigis pizza shop in Green. She loved working there and made many friends with co-workers and customers that she kept up with throughout her life. She also worked for CBIZ/Spector and Saulino in Montrose where she worked in the file room and loved all the people she worked with.
She was a big Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Cavaliers fan, having never missed a game. Maggie was a wonderful cook and very creative, she loved knitting, music and was a very talented artist. She was an animal-lover and had many cherished cats throughout her lifetime. Always very warm and funny, she had a personality that people were drawn too. She was very nurturing, a mother-to everyone she met because of this she was given the nickname "Mama Naz". Maggie was a Girl Scout leader, President of Clinton Elementary Parent-Teacher Association and a Youth Group leader at Canal Fulton United Methodist Church while her kids were growing up.
Maggie is survived by her children Jenelle (Matthew) O'Malley and Michael (Kendra) Nasvadi; grandchildren Ethan, Natalie, Lucas and Aidan; brother Tom (Barb) Kreakbaum, ex-husband and life long best friend Joseph Nasvadi; mother-in-law Edith Nasvadi; sister-in-law Bonnie (George) Stefanko; Kelly (Tetlow) Benner who was like a daughter to Maggie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held MONDAY, January 26, 2015, 11am, at Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, 363 W. Cherry St., Canal Fulton, Pastor Jon George officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call SUNDAY, 3pm to 5pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers donations in Maggie's name are requested to The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd #445, Independence, OH 44131.
