Obituary

Margaret May Stephan (nee Simmons), 96, died peacefully on February 20, 2016 following a very long illness. She lived in the Canal Fulton area nearly her entire life and was a member SS Philip & James Catholic Church, Canal Fulton. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent E. Stephan; her sisters Vera Hall and Carol Neuner; and her brothers George and Richard Simmons. Her constant joy and main mission in life was taking wonderful care of her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind sons John "Denny" and Kay (nee Kunkle) Stephan, Mark and Marilyn (nee Dungey) Stephan and Norman Vincent Stephan. Her grandchildren are Sean (Elizabeth) Stephan, Scott (Karen) Stephan, Joel Stephan, Bret Stephan, and Laura Stephan Nichols.Her great-grandchildren are Brock Stephan, Katrina Stephan, Cassandra Stephan, Brooke Stephan, and Harry Nichols. Family and friends may call at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 2016 from 10:00 am until 10:45 am with a Mass of the Christian Burial TUESDAY 11:00 am at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 N. High St. Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey as Celebrant. and burial in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th Street SW, Canton, OH 44707.
