Mary Alice Cheney (nAC.e Seevers), 95, died on September 19, 2013. She was born June 17, 1918 in Canton, where she grew up with her sister Lois (Seevers) Burns and their devoted mother, Ruth (Kuhns) Seevers. She graduated from McKinley High School and worked briefly as a secretary. In 1954 she married George Elwood Cheney, and they had 57 years together. They were faithful members of parish communities in Youngstown, Akron, Mansfield, North Canton and Canal Fulton. Mary was a sweet and gentle woman who appreciated the simple things in life, was dedicated to her family, and was loved by many people. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, and husband.
