Mary (Gagliardi) Iczkowski (1940-2025)

Mary Iczkowski, 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, passed peacefully from this life to the next on June 19, 2025.

Born Kathleen Mary Gagliardi on December 26, 1940, in Walston, PA, to parents Steve and Clara (Fairman) Gagliardi, she was the fourth of nine children.

A lifelong Catholic, she was raised in a loving family with a tradition of faith, perseverance and humor that helped her and those around her through times both prosperous and difficult, and made her both a strong mother and a loyal friend. She was easy to like and love, and those who knew her found those feelings reciprocated.

Becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in her early forties, she spent the second half of her life serving the community both personally and professionally. She was loved by both children and adults for her ability to communicate with them in a way that made them feel cared for and understood.

She was a truly special woman and will be missed by all those who loved her.

She is survived by her sons Brian Iczkowski, of Jackson Township, and Arik (Kathy) Iczkowski of Hartville, grandchildren Darian Iczkowski, Brenna Iczkowski and Jacob Iczkowski, brothers Paul (Connie) Gagliardi and Fred (Bonnie) Gagliardi, sister Denice (Ed) Gagliardi, numerous cousins and a great many nieces and nephews all of whom were greatly loved by their "Aunt Mim."

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Iczkowski, her parents Steve and Clara Gagliardi, brothers John (Doris) Gagliardi, Lawrence (Chris) Gagliardi, infant Thomas Gagliardi, and sisters Loretta (Carmen) Cook, and Christine (Joe) Ingros.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations to these charities be considered: The American Stroke Association, The Alzheimer's Foundation and Catholic Charities of Summit County(Ohio).
