Mary Ann Gorday (Kondik) passed peacefully from this life in her home surrounded by family on Friday, September 8, 2017, she was 86. Mrs. Gorday was born April 1, 1931 in Barberton to the late Stephen and Mary (Husta) Kondik and married Russell Gorday in 1961. They made their home in Coventry Twp. until moving to Canal Fulton in 2013. She was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol and SS Philip and James Catholic Church. Mary Ann worked for the Mayflower Hotel as a caterer until she married. She was an avid mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Russell Gorday in 2016. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (William) Protzman of Canal Fulton, Laura Trissel of Akron; grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah and Ty; brother, Daniel (Rose) Kondik of Barberton. Special appreciation to Mo and Mandy from Summa Hospice and Chrissy from First Light Home Care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held WEDNESDAY, 11am at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 412 High St. N., Canal Fulton, Fr. Kevin McCaffrey, celebrant. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
