Mattie G. (Workman) Rudersmith, 86 of North Lawrence, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born on November 19, 1938 in Frametown, WV to the late Emery and Cora (Samples) Workman and graduated from Braxton County Schools in 1958. She married Sherloc P. Rudersmith on April 11, 1981 and enjoyed 15 years of marriage until his passing in 1996. Mattie retired from the Perry Rubber Co. and enjoyed needle work and crafting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherloc Rudersmith; siblings, Pearl Workman, Euhl Workman, Blaine Workman and Arlene Martin; nieces, Teresa (Miller) Workman and Debbie Martin. Mattie is survived by sister, Dona Fields; brothers, Jake (Pearl) Workman and Earl (Marcella) Workman; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mattie will be laid to rest on Friday, April 11, 2025, 11:00am at Newmans Creek Cemetery, North Lawrence, the day of her and Sherloc's anniversary so they can be together again.
