Maxine M. Houger, 95 formerly of Canal Fulton died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Sterling House of Canton, where she had been a resident. Maxine was a longtime resident of the Canton and Canal Fulton area and was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard L. Houger; son, Thomas Houger; and sister, Dortha Bloomfield. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Barry) Bader of Culpeper, VA. and nephew, Gary (Debbie) Slade of Canton. Graveside services will be held SATURDAY, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St. , Akron (Section 19) with Rev Rod Grabski, officiating.
