Merle R. Perkins, 79 of Canal Fulton died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at Mercy Medical, Canton. He was born in Alledonia, Ohio and had been an area resident most of his life. He retired from B & W in 2003 after 30 plus years of service. Merle was a member of Boilermakers Local 900 at B& W and was a lifelong member of the Armstrong Mills Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was an automobile enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Naomi (Beachy) Perkins and brother Keith Perkins. Merle is survived by sons, Neal (Stephanie) Perkins of Canton and Duane ( Lori) Perkins of Massillon.; grandchildren, Megan and Haley; brother, Marvin (Alice) Perkins of Beallsville, Ohio; sister, Wilma Paknik of Beallsville, Ohio and sister-in-law, Linda Perkins of Alledonia, Ohio. Funeral Service WEDNESDAY, 11:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Friends may call TUESDAY, from 5pm to 7pm and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Massillon.
