Merrillie A. Kessler, 82 of Canal Fulton, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born August 21, 1942 in Akron to the late John and Margaret (Cerra) Hagenbush, had been a Canal Fulton resident since 1968 and worked for various Vet Clinics in the area. Merrillie loved her dachshunds and dog sitting. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband Ray going to car shows with their '57 Chevy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (Amos) Kessler; brother, John Hagenbush and sister, Lenora Adams. Merrillie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held SUNDAY, March 23, 2025, 3:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton with visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Merrillie's name can be made to the Stark County Humane Society, PO Box 7077, Canton, OH 44705.
