Michael D. Graves, 69 of Manchester died Monday, June 20, 2011.
Mike was a graduate of Manchester High School, spend four years in the U. S. Navy and Reserves and worked for 40 years as a tool and die maker at X-Cel Mold. He served as treasurer of the Manchester Football Boosters, President of the Manchester Middle School PTA and he coached little league in baseball and basketball. Of his many loves, were fishing in Canada, camping, acrylic painting and wood carving, where he served as treasurer/secretary for the Wilderness Center Wood Carvers. He loved all animals but especially his cats. He was the most wonderful husband and father, that no one could ever top. We loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bette R. Graves;
his children, Michelle (Brad) Allard; Scott (Kristin) Graves;
Becky Mehling and John (Lori) Graves.
grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Emily, Le Anna, Madison, Nathan, Teagan, Julie and Tiffany; brother, Jeff (Jane)
Funeral Service FRIDAY 7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Dave Dahlstein officiating and where friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service FRIDAY.
